For the Shanghai outpost of La Bodeguita Del Medio, Valecasa was brought on to design and furnish a space that honours the bar’s Cuban legacy while responding to the energy of its new setting. And it was one of our favorite work trips!
Our scope included the full interior layout and custom furniture production—balancing bold colour, layered textures, and heritage cues with a contemporary finish. From built-in bar structures to loose seating and detail work, each element was designed to echo Havana's charm without replicating it.
The result is a vibrant, operationally sound venue that bridges cultural context and modern hospitality.
