Heritage Gelato Café Interior & Retail Experience Design

For Pietro Gelato, a specialty gelato café in Prague, Valecasa developed a retail interior concept that blends European heritage aesthetics with a contemporary dessert experience.

The design draws from classic café interiors, ornate frames, warm plaster tones, and layered textures, creating a sense of familiarity and authenticity. This is contrasted with vibrant gelato displays and product-forward presentation, allowing the desserts to become the focal point of the space.

We designed and produced custom seating, compact tables, and integrated display elements optimized for high-traffic retail flow and quick customer turnover. Materials were selected for durability, hygiene, and ease of maintenance, essential for ice cream and dessert environments.

The concept positions the café not just as a place to purchase gelato, but as a visual and experiential destination, especially for walk-in customers and tourist-driven locations. The contrast between classic interior architecture and colorful products enhances brand memorability and shareability.

The result is a cohesive gelato café interior that supports operational efficiency while elevating the customer experience, ideal for modern dessert brands, specialty cafés, and retail food concepts.

"Our location in Old Town demanded an interior that felt authentic to its surroundings. Valecasa translated that beautifully into a space that feels natural and welcoming."
