Beer Spa Interior Design Prague — Custom Copper Bathtubs & Wellness Spa

A beer spa interior design project rooted in Czech wellness tradition.

Valecasa was commissioned to design and produce the spa interior and custom furnishings for Lázně u Hastrmana, a historic wellness destination based on the Czech concept of the beer spa. Traditionally, beer spa treatments combine warm herbal baths, brewer’s yeast, and hops, known for their relaxing, skin-conditioning, and circulation-supporting properties.

Our scope included bespoke spa furniture and handcrafted copper bathing elements designed specifically for high-moisture wellness environments. Copper was selected not only for its durability and aging qualities but also for its natural antibacterial properties and thermal conductivity, which helps maintain consistent water temperature during bathing.

Inspired by traditional Czech bathing culture, the interior balances rustic authenticity with refined wellness design. Custom copper bathtubs, wash basins, and solid wood joinery create a calm, tactile environment grounded in natural materials and long-term durability.

The result is a distinctive beer spa interior that connects heritage bathing rituals with contemporary hospitality design.
