Valecasa developed the interior for a private high-rise residence in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, conceived as an eclectic environment shaped by the couple’s European background and Southeast Asian context. The design balances European refinement with subtle Oriental influences, resulting in a layered interior defined by contrast, proportion, and controlled detailing. Natural materials anchor the composition throughout, combining stone surfaces, warm wood tones, and tailored finishes to create continuity across the living and private areas.
The main living zone is organized around a structured layout that supports both daily use and entertaining, with custom furniture integrated to maintain visual clarity within the open-plan setting. Materials were selected with careful attention to durability and climate responsiveness for high-rise living in Kuala Lumpur’s tropical environment. A dedicated cat corner was developed as part of the architectural layout, incorporating a custom-built litter enclosure, concealed storage, and integrated finishes that allow the space to function seamlessly within the overall interior rather than appearing as an addition.
The result is a composed and highly personal residence that reflects the couple’s journey while maintaining architectural discipline and long-term usability.
